  1. Nay! I actually bought the carrot shampoo/conditioner and lotion. I got a rash from the lotion. When I took a closer look at the ingredients on the shampoo/conditioner I decided it had to go. I returned it to target and told myself I would never say yes to…carrots, blueberries…whatever.

  2. Like many, I use the environmental working group’s skin deep database. There are toxins in many of the “yes to” products. When I wrote a review on one of their products on their website, I noted the medium score and mentioned the troublesome ingredients. I felt the review was gently written and fair. But they refused to publish it as it did not “guidelines.”

  3. Nay. I’ve never heard of this brand – but my process now-a-days, when shopping for anything really, is to read the ingredients and if I don’t recognize or can’t even pronounce the ingredients, I put it back on the shelf. And the labeling can get tricky – like when you see stuff like “sodium lauryl sulfate (from coconut extract)” – confusing, right? Coconut is good! Sodium lauryl sulfate is bad… what to do? ….don’t buy it. :)

Maybe this is really elementary of me, as I surely do not know the scientific names of a lot of things. But seriously – what the heck is “Tetrasodium Glutamate Diacetate”?!

  4. Nay! I used the yes to carrots conditioner on my hair and it made it feel really greasy. I also used the yes to tomatoes daily pore scrub for acne; not only did it dry out my skin but it didn’t help my blemishes at all. I think I also used the blueberry facial wipes and those were just weird.

  5. Could you possibly do a review on The Honest Company? I have a few of their products and they seem okay but I want to make sure they’re really clean before I use them on my child.

  6. I bought the yes to carrots shampoo for my daughter. I usually check ewg but for some reason didn’t on this one. One day, I used it and it stung when it got in my eyes. Glad I happened upon your site. Just pitched it.

  7. I tried a facial moisturizer once from Yes To Carrots and minutes after application my face would sting and become blotchy, red, and a little swollen. Even so, it took me weeks to realize it was because of the product!
At the same time, my mother had bought a Yes To Carrots face wash and described the same kind of rash and irritation to me as I had been experiencing… That’s when I put it together and told her we both had to say NO To Carrots!

  8. For the carrots – nourishing body wash I found the following to steer clear from:

Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate.

I would say nay. All the products have at least 2-3 ingredients to avoid.
